Terms of Service

1. What JobCap is

JobCap finds job postings that match your profile, generates a tailored resume and cover letter for each one using AI, and — via our browser extension — prefills application forms on supported applicant tracking systems (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Taleo, iCIMS, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby).

JobCap never submits an application for you. You always review the documents and the filled-in form, and you click Submit yourself.

2. Your account

You need an account to use JobCap. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself, give us accurate information, and only create an account if you are legally able to enter into contracts. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Credits and payment

JobCap is prepaid: you buy credit bundles in euros (EUR) through Stripe, and credits are spent as you generate documents and applications. The price and credit amount of each bundle are shown before you buy. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal after a purchase. It applies to credits you have not yet spent — credits already used to generate documents cannot be returned, because that part of the service has already been delivered.

4. You review, you submit

The human review step is part of the product, not a formality. Before any application goes out, you are responsible for checking the generated resume, the cover letter, and every field the extension filled in. Whatever you submit to an employer, you submit as your own.

5. AI-generated content

Resumes and cover letters are generated by AI from the information you provide. AI can make mistakes — it may phrase things wrongly, overstate, or misplace details. Verify every fact before you submit, and never send out claims about yourself that are not true. We do not promise that using JobCap leads to interviews or job offers.

6. Acceptable use

When using JobCap, you agree to:

  • only use your own, truthful information in profiles and applications;
  • not impersonate anyone or apply on someone else's behalf without permission;
  • not use the service for anything unlawful;
  • not abuse the service — no scraping our systems, overloading them, reselling access, or trying to work around the credit system;
  • respect the terms of the job sites and ATS platforms you apply on.

7. Liability

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. For ordinary negligence, we are liable only if we breach an obligation that the service depends on (an essential contractual obligation), and then only for the typical, foreseeable damage. We are not liable for the outcome of your job applications.

Mandatory statutory rights — especially consumer rights — are not affected by this.

8. Termination

You can stop using JobCap and request deletion of your account at any time via info@jobcap.app. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms. If we terminate your account without you having broken the terms, we will refund your unused credits.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will announce it in advance and update the date at the top. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in still apply.
